Shadowed Rose
Umbrosa is an exploration of the rose in shadow—petals held just beyond the light, warm rather than bright.
The opening is a quiet spark of bergamot and pink pepper, warmed at once by cinnamon and a trace of nutmeg. Beneath it the rose appears, fresh and faintly metallic, touched with a dark, plum-like depth that keeps it from ever feeling merely pretty.
In the heart, saffron unfolds into soft suede, and a powdery veil of iris settles over the petals. The rose does not bloom so much as deepen, drawn down into dry amber woods and the earthy shade of patchouli, with a thin smoke drifting through like the memory of oud.
The drydown turns slowly toward warmth: vanilla and soft balsams, a hush of incense, and a clean, skin-close musk that carries the rose long after its color has faded.
Umbrosa wears like a rose seen by candlelight—soft-edged, velvety, and close to the skin. Not a garden rose, but a shaded one: color drawn down into warmth.
